#1

Use Properties to manage saved items

Properties are the common controls for saved items in cmdOS.

What Properties help with

Use them to organize an item, find it later, open it faster, show it in widgets, edit it, or delete it.

Where they appear

Open a saved note, link, todo, text expander, or Chat Agent to use its Properties options.

#2

Search and filter saved items

Use search and filters when you want to find the right saved item quickly.

Search

Type the item name or a word from the item to find it.

Filter

Use filters to show only the items you need, like notes with a tag or favorite items.

Open the item

Select the result to open the saved note, link, todo, text expander, or Chat Agent.

#3

Add tags to organize items

Tags help you group related saved items together.

Add a tag

Use simple tag names like work, client, research, or personal.

Find by tag

Later, filter by a tag to see only the matching items.

Use in widgets

Tags can also help widgets show the right set of items.

#4

Mark important items as favorites

Favorites keep your most important saved items easy to reach.

Add favorite

Click the favorite option on an item you use often.

Remove favorite

Turn it off anytime if the item is no longer important.

Where it appears

Favorite items can appear in favorite lists and the Favorites widget.

#5

Open items faster

Shortcuts help you open saved items without searching for them every time.

Keyboard Shortcut

Press keys together, like Alt + 1, to open the saved item.

Text Shortcut

Type a short word, like c notes, to open the saved item from cmdOS search.

Change or remove

You can update a shortcut later, or clear it without deleting the saved item.

#6

Show an item in a widget

Use widgets when you want saved items visible on the Home Screen.

Choose a widget

Pick the widget type that matches the item, like Notes, Links, Todo List, Text Expanders, Chat Agents, or Favorites.

Select content

Choose one saved item, or show a list using all items, selected items, or tags.

Remove safely

Removing a widget only removes it from the Home Screen. It does not delete the saved item.

#7

Edit or delete a saved item

Use these options when you need to change an item or remove it completely.

Edit

Open the item again to change its title, content, tags, favorites, shortcuts, or widget setup.

Delete

Delete only when you no longer want to keep the saved item.

Be careful

Deleting removes the saved item. If you only want it off the Home Screen, remove the widget instead.
