Themes
Choose a theme family, set a wallpaper, and tune brightness or warm-screen tint.
Personalize the cmdOS Home Screen
Theme settings control the color family, wallpaper, overall brightness, and warm-screen tint used by the new-tab experience.
Choose one of the available dark themes or a light variant when that family provides one.
Use no wallpaper, choose a bundled image, reuse an uploaded custom image, or upload a new image file.
Brightness and warm-tint strength are independent sliders with their own reset controls.
Select a dark or light theme
Each theme preview applies a complete cmdOS appearance profile rather than changing only one color.
Open Settings and select Theme under UX Appearance.
Browse the theme-family cards. Only families with a supported light variant appear in the Light group.
Choose a preview card. Selecting a gradient theme also resets the wallpaper to None so the gradient remains visible.
Choose or upload a wallpaper
A wallpaper sits behind the Home Screen and is stored as part of the extension’s appearance preferences.
Removes the wallpaper and leaves the selected theme background visible.
Current bundled choices include Car Race, Evermist, and Sky.
Upload an image file. cmdOS reads it as a data URL, stores it locally, and selects the Custom wallpaper entry.
Adjust brightness and warm tint
Use the two sliders to tune the complete Home Screen without replacing the selected theme.
Adjusts the appearance from 0 to 100 percent. Reset returns brightness to 70 percent.
Adds a gentle warm tone over the new-tab screen. Reset returns tint strength to 10 percent.
Brightness and tint strength are stored and reset independently.
